Meet Jamie Quynn
My Story
Jamie B. Quynn is the professional name of Birte Pfitzner, a German-American educator and admissions consultant with experience working with students in the United States, South Korea, Thailand, and around the world.
Building on more than 20 years of experience in higher education, I now help students strengthen their English, improve their SAT performance, develop powerful essays, and navigate the university application process with confidence.
After growing up in Germany and spending more than three decades building a career in higher education in the United States, I decided to take an unexpected step and move abroad.
I first lived and taught in South Korea before continuing my work in Thailand, where I helped international students prepare for university admission in the U.S. and around the world. Working with students from different cultures taught me that although educational systems differ, students everywhere face many of the same challenges
Starting in spring 2027, I will continue that work from Spain, helping students through online SAT tutoring, university admissions consulting, and essay coaching.
My Philosophy
I believe every student has a story worth telling. My role isn’t to write it for them—it’s to help them discover it, express it clearly, and present it with confidence. In my sessions, I strive to create a supportive, organized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking iintellectual risks, and challenging themselves.
